Accessibility

The Roycroft Pavilion, where the Aurora Players perform, is located in Hamlin Park, surrounded by grass and large trees. The front doors are located at the end of a gravel walkway/drive that wheelchair users and guests with other mobility issues may find difficult to traverse. All guests are welcome to pull down the gravel drive and drop people off at the door.

Once inside the pavilion, guests will find all public areas of the theater, including the restrooms, to be fully accessible. There is seating available for guests who would prefer to remain in their wheelchair, and our recently upgraded theater seats are wider and meet the latest ADA recommendations.

Our summer show by Theatre in Hamlin Park may present additional challenges for mobility-impaired guests. These shows are presented on the outdoor stage around the corner from the main entrance of the pavilion. Audience members sit on the grass hill facing this stage, and they are encouraged to bring their own chairs and picnic blankets. There are gravel paths up and down the hill, but no paved walkways.
