March 10-12, 17-19, & 24-26, 2023
Approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes including one 15 minute intermission.
At a large, tastefully-appointed townhouse, the Deputy Mayor of New York, while hosting a tenth anniversary party for himself and his wife, has just shot himself. Though only a flesh wound, the four couples who gather for the celebration are about to experience a severe attack of farce!
The host lies bleeding in the other room while his wife is nowhere in sight. Meanwhile his lawyer, Ken, and wife, Chris, must get “the story” straight before the other guests arrive. As the confusions and miscommunications mount, the evening spins off into classic farcical hilarity.
This is Reneé M. Ronan’s directorial debut of a full-length play. Reneé has been involved with Aurora Players since 2002 when she was cast in Play It Again, Sam. Aside from acting, she has taken on many backstage roles including stage crew, stage manager, prop master, lighting technician, and producer. She most recently produced HAIR in fall 2022 and A Weekend of One Acts. Reneé joined the Board of Directors in 2016, becoming the president of Aurora Players in 2020.
