Director: Paige Batt

Paige Batt is thrilled to be making her directorial debut with Theatre in Hamlin Park, having previously assistant directed two murder mysteries set on the Arcade & Attica Railroad. On stage, Paige has been seen with Aurora Players many times, as well as with Rocking Horse Productions, the Lockport Palace Theatre, American Repertory Theater of WNY, Buffalo Chrysalis Theatre, Niagara Regional Theatre Guild, and Buffalo United Artists.

After moving out to Los Angeles for a few years, Paige learned that though film acting is a fabulous and challenging medium, her heart truly lay with theatre. Theatre introduced her not only to a fulfilling and worthwhile hobby, but her closest friends and husband as well!

Outside of theatre, Paige works for the Veterans Benefits Administration and is a singer, writer, and avid reader, and can often be found spending time with her husband and five animals – or with a book in hand.

Assistant Director: Joel Murphy

Joel Murphy first appeared in the 2009 Aurora Players production of HMS Pinafore, and most recently appeared in the Aurora Players’ 2023 production of Rumors where he was honored to receive the Aurora Player’s Best Actor Award, and was recognized with a TANYS award of Excellence in Acting for his portrayal of Lenny Ganze. Between 2009 and 2023 Joel has additionally appeared on stage with Aurora Player’s in six other AP productions including ‘Grease’ (2014), ‘The Glass Menagerie’ (2015), ‘Barefoot in the Park’ (2016), and Theater in Hamlin Park’s production of ‘The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood’ (2019).

Joel commenced his journey into Directing through Assistant Directing the Lancaster Regional Player’s production of ‘The Boys Next Door’ (2015), where he also went on to Direct ‘The Foreigner’ (2015) and ‘Dracula’ (2017). His directorial merits with the Aurora Player’s include: Assistant directing ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ (2016), Directing ‘And Then There Were None’ (2018), and most recently Directing ‘Into the Woods’ where his efforts were recognized with a TANYS award of Outstanding Achievement in Production Concept and Execution.

Having first met Paige through the Aurora Players production of ‘The Curious Savage’ ten years ago where they became fast friends, Joel is extremely excited to collaborate on her Directorial Debut!
