Calling all Directors! Aurora Players is accepting script submissions for the 2025–26 season.

As the Aurora Players play reading committee prepares to discuss the 2025–2026 season, we invite prospective volunteer directors to submit a musical or play to the Aurora Players Play Reading Committee.

How to Submit a Play or Musical
For each proposed script, we ask that directors complete the submission form and e-mail it to the Play Reading Committee. The purpose of the form is to provide the committee with a description of the play or musical and an outline of the various technical aspects involved. The last two pages of the form deal with the set requirements and include a blank sketch of the dimensions and sight lines of the Roycroft Pavilion indoor stage and the outdoor band shell stage area. Please sketch out your set plans on these pages. This information is needed to get a general idea of the set you envision. If the play or musical involves set changes, please submit additional sketches or explanations as needed; we realize some aspects of the set requirements could change. If you find there is not enough room on the form to address any of the questions, please attach additional pages as needed. Please note that submissions for a musical should identify the music director and choreographer.

Prospective directors may submit up to three plays/musicals. Each submission must be accompanied by a script, which will be returned in a timely manner. Aurora Players maintains a modest script library and directors are welcome to contact the Play Reading Committee to see if your proposed script is available.

Deadline
All submissions must be received before August 1, 2024. However, we would appreciate receiving submissions as soon as possible.
