Butterflies Are Free is a comedy/drama, by Leonard Gershe. The plot revolves around a blind man (Don Baker) living in downtown Manhattan whose controlling mother disapproves of his relationship with a free-spirited hippie (Jill Tanner). 

Roles Needed: 

Jill Tanner– 20’s Free spirited “hippie” type. She is sweet, caring, vivacious and sexy. Not incredibly intelligent but full of wonder and profound thoughts. Lives life to its fullest with a day by day attitude. 

Don Baker– 20’s to early 30’s. Blind since birth. He must play at least one song on a guitar and sing. He is trying to prove to his overbearing mother and perhaps himself, that he can live on his own. He is well educated and well-adjusted but is vulnerable when it comes to love.

*NOTE: Both characters must appear in their underwear.
