Beginning as a high school reunion, we are quickly transported back to the year 1959: guys with slicked back hair, girls in poodle skirts, sock hops and rock & roll. Hot cars, “cool” guys and the “chicks” they try to impress. Drive-ins, rumbles, sleep-overs and dance contests … even a teen angel. This nostalgic musical is about being a teenager in the coolest decade ever. “So okay, cats, throw your mittens around your kittens and away we go!”
David Hall brings his affection for the ‘50s to the director’s role of this happenin’ musical. Other AP shows he’s directed include last fall’s Towards Zero, Out of Order, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum and Cat On A Hot Tin Roof. He’s performed in, and directed, many theatre productions throughout WNY. Directing credits include The Long Weekend (TANYS Excellence in Directing Award), The Odd Couple, Ten Little Indians, Dark of the Moon (TANYS Excellence in Directing Award), Grease, and Over the Tavern.
