At its heart, The Women is a play about friendships tested to their limits. Each character is rich in complexities and driven by her vision of what the ideal 1930’s high society woman is. Each is challenged to evolve, past what society expects of them to discover who they are and what they really want. While this drama/comedy takes place back in the 1930’s, many issues are still dealt with today. How they are dealt with reveals true character.
To celebrate opening night of this entertaining and powerful performance Aurora Players is planning another themed dinner at The Roycroft Inn on Friday, May 18th at 6:00pm.
Executive Chef Andrew Nuernberger has designed a menu to emulate a dinner party hosted in the gilded age of 1930’s high society.
First course will be a spring spinach salad – fresh spinach, sliced strawberries, bleu crumbles and balsamic vinaigrette. The Entrée will be a roasted pork loin with honey butter Cajun rub with pan gravy and whipped potatoes. And for dessert a decadent chocolate truffle sliver with chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Coffee, tea, soft drinks included. Alcohol additional.
This wonderful themed meal is being created just for Aurora Players and offered only opening night for $20.00 per person (Tax & Gratuity additional).
Dinner will begin promptly at 6:00pm to provide plenty of time to enjoy and have you back at the Pavilion in time for opening curtain at 8:00pm.
