Here’s a quick and easy recipe for Ray Cooney’s Out of Order. Take one philandering politician, his questionably faithful wife, his half-dressed, dim girlfriend, her jealous, muscle-headed husband, a neurotic assistant, and his domineering nurse. Pour them into an upscale London hotel suite. Fold in a suspicious hotel manager, a confused bellhop, an unintelligible maid and the most important ingredient … one fresh dead body! Stir in some chaos and heat until tempers flare, panic sets in, and sexual tensions steam. Serve immediately with a generous helping of laughs!
David Hall looks to score the trifecta as director for AP, this time at the helm of a comedic farce. Most recently, David led a talented AP cast in the classic musical comedy, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum (2010), following up on the powerful AP production of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof (2008). He has performed in, and directed, many community and professional productions throughout WNY. Recent productions he’s directed include The Long Weekend (TANYS Excellence in Directing Award), The Odd Couple, Ten Little Indians, Dark of the Moon (TANYS Excellence in Directing Award), Grease, and Over the Tavern.
