My Fair Lady, based on the George Bernard Shaw tale, Pygmalion, takes place in Edwardian England. It tells the story of Professor Henry Higgins, a British phonetics expert and refind bachelor - teaching Eliza Doolittle, a lowly, cockney flower girl - how to speak and act like a proper and genteel lady. During her transformation, we witness her "education" through her trials and tribulations. We also encounter a memorable horse race and a grand ball. All the while, we find Eliza subtly teaching the "set-in-his-ways" Professor Higgins about life and love.

Catherine Burkhart directed The Foreigner for AP in 2006, and was seen in A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum as one of the Geminae. Leading roles with AP include Brigadoon, Sylvia, Steel Magnolias, Fiddler On The Roof, and The Wizard Of Oz. She's co-directed two AP Actor's Workshops. Other credits include Blithe Spirit with Amherst Players, My Fair Lady and Gypsy with Stagestruck Productions, and Finnegan's Farewell with Lancaster Regional Players. She holds a BFA in Theatre Arts from SUNY Fredonia.

Music direction will be ably provided by Nancy Seel; Ann Grimaldi will share her dance talents and serve as choreographer.
