The theater is in the Roycroft Pavilion which is located in Hamlin Park on South Grove Street in East Aurora. A parking area is located in front of the Park on South Grove Street, which includes handicapped parking spots near the driveway leading to the theater. You may also park on the streets surrounding Hamlin Park. In addition, there is a small village parking area on the left past the theater when heading down South Grove from Main Street.
The theater is handicapped accessible and wheelchairs can be accommodated in the seating area of the theater. If someone in your party has difficulty walking, you may drive up to the door of the theater to drop them off and then move your vehicle to a parking area around Hamlin Park. Please exercise caution when driving up to the Roycroft Pavilion since theater patrons may be walking along the driveway.
We recommend patrons arrive at least 30 minutes before the show to avoid last minute lines at the Box Office. Large groups should allow more time before the show to distribute tickets. We recommend an hour before the performance.
If you are running late, keep in mind that the Box Office windows stay open until about 15 minutes after curtain. If you've called ahead of time and you arrive by that time, you can pick up your tickets there. If not, see the house manager in the lobby, he / she will have your tickets. The ushers will take you into the house and have you stand at the back until the next seating break.
As of our 2016 season, Aurora Players does accept credit cards for ticket and membership purchases. Our pop stand is still cash only, so, before arriving at the theater, make sure that you have enough cash to pay for your refreshments. Checks can also be accepted for ticket purchases.
Your tickets can be picked up and paid for at the Roycroft Pavilion Box Office 45 minutes before the show. We accept cash, check or credit cards. If you have a season ticket coupon or gift certificate, you still need to stop at the Box Office to pick up your tickets to enter the theater. Reserved tickets will be held at the Box Office until 15 minutes prior to show time. After that, unclaimed tickets may be sold.
If you find that you are unable to attend a performance at the last minute, we ask that you let us know by calling the box office, 716-687-6727, if after 6pm (12:30 for matinees) on show dates, or the reservation line, 716-687-6727 prior to 6pm, or at any other time. This will give us a chance to make your seat available to someone who may be on our waiting list.
In the unlikely event of a show cancellation, a cancellation notice will be posted on the main page of our website and we will attempt to contact ticket holders for that performance by phone to notify them of the cancellation. Patrons can also find out if a performance has been canceled by calling the Box Office at 716-687-6727.
Performance cancellations are rare and are usually decided late in the afternoon for an evening performance. The Theater does not offer refunds when a performance has taken place. When a performance is canceled due to inclement weather or other reasons, alternatives will be assessed at that time regarding possible exchanges or refunds.
Aurora Players has no official "dress code" for attending plays at the Roycroft Pavilion. Typically, patrons wear dress/casual attire for non-Opening Night performances and may choose more formal attire for Opening Nights. However, we'd rather have a patron come in jeans and sweatshirt than not come at all out of concern for how they are dressed.
